HELLO.
I'M JARED.

Behind the work

I have been expressing my artistic vision since I could hold a pencil, filling my grandfather’s sketchpads with cartoons and flip-book animations. At age five, after seeing Star Wars, my imagination exploded and my fascination with visual effects began. From that moment on, my mantra was simple: I want to be able to do that too.

In college I sold designs to a local t-shirt company, one of which became their best seller. Soon after, I moved into web design and advanced to senior designer at a start-up until the dot-com crash ended that chapter. Web work felt dry and repetitive, so I turned to 3D visual effects, a medium with no limits on imagination and higher demands for skill.

I trained at the Gnomon School of Visual Effects in Santa Monica, studying under industry veterans. Hollywood was exciting but unstable, and with a young family I chose television, which offered the same creative challenges with more stability. During my television career I worked at both KUSI News in San Diego and KLAS Channel 8 in Las Vegas, where I won numerous awards for my work.

In 2019 I took on a new challenge in India as Creative Director for the Temple of the Vedic Planetarium, a cultural and spiritual landmark blending museum design, multimedia storytelling, and sacred architecture. Though I stepped away to return to the U.S. before the project was complete, the scale and complexity of the work broadened my perspective on narrative design and global collaboration.
